Mike has spent his career working in healthcare technology, innovation, and product development. Most recently, Mike was the Director of Product Management at UPMC Enterprises where he led efforts to develop strategic partnerships with early-stage healthcare technology companies as well as the development of innovation technology-based healthcare solutions. Combining the latest in machine learning, natural language processing, and interoperability with deep understanding of critical challenges in healthcare yielded a portfolio of over 30 innovative companies.  

Prior to UPMC, Mike held technology leadership roles in a variety of healthcare focused organizations. From payer systems to electronic medical record solutions to medical devices, Mike has led the development of systems and software designed to improve the healthcare experience. As Vice President of Consulting Solutions at IQ, Mike’s teams built high-quality commercial-grade medical device software for large clients like Philips, Bausch & Lomb, and Bayer.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
