Apex Health Names Seth Edwards Chief Commercial Officer

Value-based care and health policy leader joins Apex’s executive team to drive growth and lead its policy engagement

HOUSTON, Nov. 4, 2026 — Apex Health, a provider enablement partner helping health systems, regional payers and provider-led risk networks succeed in value-based care, today announced the appointment of Seth Edwards, MHA, as Chief Commercial Officer. Edwards will lead Apex’s enterprise growth, business development and commercialization strategy. He will also help guide the company’s engagement on healthcare policy, leveraging his experience in Washington across both regulatory and legislative issues. His combination of healthcare policy expertise, provider engagement experience and value-based care leadership will support Apex’s continued expansion as health systems take on greater accountability for cost, quality and outcomes.

Edwards joins Apex from Premier, Inc., where he was a recognized leader in population health, value-based care and healthcare policy.  Most recently he was Managing Director – Practice Area Lead for Premier’s Strategic and Performance Improvement Collaboratives. In that role, he led the strategy, operations and growth of Premier’s collaboratives and related advisory services. These offerings focused on helping health systems build and scale accountable care, population health and risk-based programs. Edwards helped the collaboratives earn national recognition, including Best in KLAS in Value-based Care Consulting, Modern Healthcare’s Best in Business for Management Consulting and the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award.

Edwards began his work at Premier in federal affairs. There, he helped shape the company’s response to federal ACO regulations and contributed to the launch of its ACO collaborative. His work focused on translating health policy into strategy and execution, with an emphasis on delivery system reforms and value-based care.  In addition, he represented Premier on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Healthcare Transformation Task Force. He has received numerous industry honors throughout his career, including being named one of Modern Healthcare’s Up & Comers in 2018.

“We are excited about the experience and expertise Seth brings to Apex,” said Peter J. Kelly, President of Apex Health. “Seth has spent his career helping health systems navigate complex operational and policy changes. He understands both the realities health systems and clinicians face and the evolving regulatory environment that shapes their decisions. That combination will strengthen how we serve our partners and help us grow.”

“Healthcare is changing rapidly, and hospitals, health systems, clinicians and payers need partners who can help them adapt and succeed,” said Edwards. “Apex is uniquely positioned to help healthcare professionals navigate that complexity through a combination of deep operational expertise and practical experience in value-based care. I am excited to join the team and help more organizations succeed in the transition to value-based care.”

Edwards joins an Apex leadership team with decades of experience building and operating provider networks, managing risk and advancing value-based care. The team includes executives from HealthSpring, Optum Health, CareMount Medical and several large integrated delivery systems.
